This is a felted wool ball garland measuring approximately 7 feet long. It's made from 100% felted wool balls that measure approximately 4 cm or 1.5 inches in diameter. This string of 15 balls is color coordinated and strung on a jute cord that has loops on either end. The balls will slide on the cord if you prefer a different spacing. It can be hung side to side or up and down. It comes in a gift box with a gold bow and string.
A note about my sourcing and process.
I source the felted balls through a US based company that works with companies in Nepal to ensure a high-quality product with an eye towards safe manufacturing and without the use of child labor.
Each wool ball is handmade using a process called wet felting where the artisan uses water and soap to adhere the fibers together. The balls are made from 100% wool and dyed using eco-friendly Azo free dyes.
The garlands are color coordinated and assembled in my studio on Whidbey Island in Washington state.
Each ball is made from natural materials and slight color variations can occur in the final felted piece. The Jute cord is also a natural material that sometimes has variations in color (and size). Each ball will slide on the cord if you prefer a different spacing.
Caution: This is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of small children and pets.
